I would like to give an excellent review. I have seen some bad reviews related to the time factor that touchtone takes to fulfill the order for DD 214 military service. May I explain, I too was concerned about the delay. I had submitted my order for normal mail delivery for my DD 214 and the new veterans ID card which may be used at Home Depot or Lowe's to earn a 10% military discount, On November 17, 2017 after not hearing from touchtone by the first week in January I use their chat line. The representative was professional, courteous, patient and she explained that there was a fire at the military records building that destroyed records for military service before 1964, but there was backup files which may have to be retrieved to complete my order. I decided to call the national records Ce at 1866 272-6272. After leaving a short message and my return phone number I received a call from the national records Center in St. Louis stating they did mail a retrieved copy of my DD 214 direct to touchstone research Center on January 11, 2018. Shortly thereafter I received an email from touchstone informing the that they had received my DD 214 and they were preparing and making the new veterans ID card that I also requested. I did receive a packet from touchstone research containing my DD 214 and the new veterans ID card that they had made and explained its use and verification. Thus in conclusion may I say they're expedient it service is only relevant after they receive the DD 214 from the national records Center which in my case took almost 2 months for the national records Center to mail this to touchstone. Also the national records Center does not know anything about the new veterans ID card and after making many phone calls I decided the best route was to allow touchstone to have that card made and mailed with my DD 214. So therefore I would rate touchstone five stars because they did everything they were supposed to do and could not control the retrieving of my DD 214 time factor. The veterans ID card can only be made after the DD 214 is retrieved and verified. I hope this clears up some of the confusion from previous reviews. Thank you
